This course is designed to acquaint educational leaders with new online communication and Web 2.0 tools that support school operations. The course will provide a hands-on introduction to a number of key tools as well as address critical issues that educational leaders need to consider when introducing these technologies into school practices. Participants will also explore numerous examples where Web 2.0 tools are creatively and successfully being used by school administrators and their staffs. By the end of the course, educational leaders will have worked with peers to gain hands-on experience with these technologies, addressed issues surrounding their use, and developed a personal vision and action plan for introducing and using one of these technologies in their schools.
